Drafting Your Dreams, LLC is an independent residential design company in southern Wisconsin that provides friendly, patient and detailed design services to homeowners and many of the area's leading contractors. Established in 1989, DYD has completed over 600 design projects.

My passion is architecture and working with people to craft the home of their dreams. I am an associate member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and have a degree in architecture. One of the most prominent designers in southern Wisconsin, I've designed homes for some of the most well-known professionals in the area. During the span of my career I've also worked for the area's leading engineering and architecture design firms on many commercial buildings and structures, including the Monona Terrace and UW-Madison campus buildings.

How your dream becomes reality
All my designs are formed from your desires and needs, matched to fit your unique lifestyle. The "design triangle" is referred to and utilized during the design development stages. The design triangle takes the three elements of Square Footage, Amenities and Budget and keeps them aligned with one another. For instance, if the budget is fixed and the square footage increases, the amenities of the home must decrease in value to keep the triangle aligned. Attention to detail is essential - from site planning, sun angles, views, floor plan flow, utilities integration and exterior material selection right down to the small details of construction.

Service: By far, the most important difference between DYD and other companies is the caring and friendly attention provided to each client. I pride myself in meeting your unique needs and wishes, whether simple, complex or somewhere in between.
Quality and Value: Some drafters provide simple drawings that are barely enough to get a building permit. These leave both the homeowner and the builder vulnerable to hidden issues that can cause major cost increases. On the flip side, architectural firms can be expensive as they have more overhead to manage. They can also create drawings and specifications that are difficult to understand.
